HandiQUB is a public transportation service adapted to the disabled.
Who is this service aimed at?
This service is for any person living in one of the Quimper Community towns unable to use ordinary public transport and in possession of an 80% and above disability card (after registration and taking part in the information day).
The service can also be used by travellers, registered in other French towns and suburbs, staying for a short time.
How it works:
The HandiQUB service makes door to door travel possible throughout the Quimper Community (Ergué-Gabéric, Guengat, Locronan, Plogonnec, Plomelin, Plonéis, Pluguffan, and Quimper).
Travel is possible (excluding bank holidays):
- From Monday to Saturday from 7 am to 9 pm
- On Sunday from 1 pm to 9 pm
- On Friday and Saturday evening till 10.20 pm
You must book first, by 4.30 pm the day before, either by phone or email.
The sales office is open from Monday to Saturday from 8.30 am to 7 pm, non-stop.
At an arranged time, the traveller is picked up by the driver of one of the 6 specially fitted minibuses and then dropped off at the chosen site, named when booking.
In order to adapt to the needs of the disabled and to ensure that a continuous travel system is maintained in compliance with the act dated 11 February 2005, Quimper Community has had a complaints register at the Direction des Déplacements et de la Voirie (Travel and Public Roads Department) since July 2010.
